The Hon’ble Supreme Court held that the appeal filed by the revenue is partly allowed by holding the purchase turnover of the empty bottles purchased by the assessee from the unregistered dealers is eligible to purchase tax under Sec.7 of the Tamil Nadu Act, and the assessee cannot escape such liability on the strength of the clarifications.
